Hi everybody out there in the letterboxing community!
I'm a student at the University of California at Davis.
My roommate recently came across the letterboxing website from
yahoo's outdoor sports listings and we found the idea interesting.
So we decided to give letterboxing a try. We created some stamps out
of erasers from OfficeMax, and we found the letterbox in Auburn. Our
first find, and it seems that we were the first to find it!
We also created our own letterbox and hid it on campus. Placing the
box and writting the clues was a lot fun, and we put a lot of time
into it. There will probably be more coming in the future.
Does anybody know if this is the fist letterbox to be on a University
campus? Also, are we the only college students participating in
letterboxing?

My neighbor Mitch "Der Mad Stamper" Klink placed a few boxes on the
campus of a couple of community colleges around Portland, OR. As far as
Universities.. hmmm... anyone??

My grade school challenge students placed one at McKendree College
(Illinois' Oldest College)in Lebanon. Here's that link if you're interested

University Letterboxes.... i seem to remember seeing a group of letterboxes
in Oklahoma that might have been at a University.

As you may have read, my friend Steve placed the first
one at UWGB where & when he was going to school there.
I graduated from there a few years ago and have placed
about four there. So yes there are or were other
college students doing this.
